Garden Club luncheon planned

The Rappahannock County Garden Club is celebrating the Golden Anniversary of its founding with a luncheon at the Fauquier Springs Country Club on May 19 at 11:30 a.m. All are invited to attend with reservations to be made with Mrs. I.R. Kilby, 987-8741 by May 9. The cost is $18. A demonstration is being given by the noted arranger Mrs. Kiyoko Uyeda (TBB) on Ikebana design.

Support group to meet

The Blueridge Brain Injury Support Group will meet Saturday, May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. All survivors, family and friends are welcome to this meeting. For directions, information, transportation or support call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.

Are you in need of clothes ?

The First Baptist Church of Washington will present a Clothes Closet on Saturday, May 22 and Saturday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., both days. The Clothes Closet will have all sizes from children to adult. Clothes are free, donations are accepted.

Benefit concert for Hospice set

Hospice of the Rapidan will host a benefit concert by The Washington Mandolin Quintet on Saturday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the hospice office in Culpeper. The Quintet will perform original musical arrangements on mandolin, mandola, mandocello, octave mandolin and guitar. A donation of $10 per person is requested. Seating for the performance is limited; reservations are encouraged. Call Hospice of the Rapidan, 825-4840, during normal office hours.
