An incomplete pass with field position 4th and 26 forced moans from the Rappahannock stands as fans chanted, “Lets go Rapp.” Butler once again heeded the call with a 26-yard touchdown pass into the end zone where Whitmer was waiting to up the score 24-14
“That kid really steps up for me, said Clinedinst about his quarterback. "A lot of these kids give me all they have."
With the clock ticking, Clinedinst made a play call that he has wanted to use, but the opportunity had not been there before. He put one of his big guys in as a fullback and the play worked. Wade Norman earned the ball for a 16-yard drive and a first dowai as he dug his feet in against a pack of Bulldogs.
“Norman had a really good run,” beamed the coach. In fact, as he mentioned several names, it is evident how' proud of this team Clinedinst really is.
“Fitzmorris had a good ballgame...Will Sonnett,” at that point he just smiled and shook his head, “that kid gives me everything he has got, in fact, he gives this team everything he has got!"
