Washington Redskins’ final home game before election day ' has set the same precedent: if they win, the incumbent’s party wins, and if they lose, the challenger wins.
They lost Sunday to the Green Bay Packers 28-14.
Kerry concedes
After a late morning phone call from Senator Kerry to the White House to concede the election, President Bush was declared the winner Wednesday after unprecedented numbers of voters nationwide turned out to decide the dead heat race for the White House.
Bush carried Virginia by a similar margin to Rappahannock: 54 percent. Also the same statewide was the 80 percent of voters who voted in favor of the two constitutional amendments.
