According to Bob Amos, there were no formal Republican parties that evening. He did say, however, that “Bush has better qualifications and I think there are enough people out there who want to see him finish what he started.”
The general feeling to this election was that every vote counted. It was repeated— early and often—by both Republicans and Democrats in Rappahannock that this could be the most important election of a lifetime. Each of the 4,050 Rappahannock residents who came out and cast a vote can be confident that they made a difference, simply by making a choice.
