Sperryville resident Linda Thomas asked the board to put in a third STOP sign at the T-intersection of Route 522 and Main Street as soon as possible.
Thomas said the intersection “should be on the six-day plan, not the six-year plan.”
She said there had been many accidents at the intersection and that many motorists from out of the area don’t know they have to stop.
“God made the world in six days and Israel won a war in six days,” Thomas said. “Can we get a sign in six days?”
“The sign says it’s a twoway stop,” Thomas said in an interview. “The problem is that you don’t know which two ways it is.”
