As the organizer of the
“Civil War in Film” program, I would like to thank the many organizations and individuals that made this event such a success.
More than 230 persons paid $20 each to attend this fund-raiser to benefit the project to clean and restore the Confederate Monument and beautify the Rappahannock County courthouse grounds on which it stands.
More than $6,000 was raised for the project from ticket sales plus very generous contributions from Rappahannock National Bank and from Arthur Arundel, publisher of the Rappahannock News. We thank all those who purchased tickets or gave generously to the good cause.
