In addition to the many antiques, rugs, silver, and collectibles, attendees at the Child Care and Learning Center’s upcoming auction will also be dazzled by several pieces of beautiful artwork donated by some of Rappahannock County’s most talented citizens.
The CCLC’s ninth annual Fall Auction and Party will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue.
“We’re truly fortunate to live in an area known for its artistic flare, and to have the local artists be so supportive of our programs for children,” exclaimed Rose Ann Sharp, CCLC’s Executive Director.
Items up for bid include “Stack of Macs,” an oil painting by Pat Wilson; “Oriental Poppy,” a gouache on watercolor paper by Robin Purnell; “Country Fall,” a watercolor by Lois Manookian; “Big Oaks,” an oil painting by Martin Woodard; “From Fogg Mountain,” an oil painting by Kevin Adams; and a framed print by Geneva Welch. Photography is also well represented, as there are framed offerings by Chris Johns of
