troversial 3-2 vote to pave a section of Grimsley Road last December, residents opposed to the paving have been working to get it stopped. These efforts culminated in a lastminute stay on Oct. 15, when a VDOT crew was about to begin the job. The word to stop came from Estes on learning that Supervisor Ron Frazier had decided to change his original vote to pave.

“Hey, it’s great,” Grimsley Road resident Corey Caulfield said after Monday’s meeting. “It happened so fast, we almost missed it. We had a lot of people here to speak.”
