The new principal of the Rappahannock Elementary School has known since she was a first grader that she wanted to be a teacher. Mrs. Carol Johnson did indeed become a teacher, has been the assistant principal at the elementary school, and was last week chosen by the Rappahannock County Board ofj Education to be the new principal of the Elementary School. She will move into the principal’s office, succeeding Dave Covington, who had been appointed by the Board to be the executive director of human resources and instruction. Covington in turn succeeds Raye Tupper, who resigned to take a job with the Fauquier County school system.
