Sunnyside Farms has donated apple trees, funds to construct the High School Green House, supplies, and the time of its employees and Institute Director, Gustavo Diaz. Trista Scheurlein, the director of the Farm lb Table Program can testify to the leadership of both Sunnyside Farms and the Institute.
Sunnyside Farms and The Cole Family Foundation have made generous donations to dozens of organizations in a region where funding for nonprofit organizations is very thin. As the former Chief Operating Officer, I was asked on a daily basis to give to various causes and events on behalf of the company and continually amazed at the level of generosity as requests were approved time and time again whether it be by way of much needed funds, goods, inventory or the donation of our employees’ time and talents.
