School Board Vote
The County School Board looked over seven applicants for the job of principal of the elementary school.. According to Board Chairman Wes Mills, the number was winnowed to two candidates, who were interviewed at a special board session last week. After those interviews, Mrs. Johnson was selected. Her mother-in-law, board member Aline Johnson, recused herself from the vote.
Said chairman Mills of the final selection: “we found a highly qualified person. I am sure this was the best choice.”
