Fire & Rescue Association Meeting
The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association will meet on Friday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
Films At Trinity Church
The films, “Casey at the Bat” and “Clue of the Missing Ape”, sponsored by the Rappahannock County Library will be shown at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Wednesday, August 1 beginning at 10 a.m. Youngsters between six and 12 are invited.
Creative Writing Workshop Set
A Creative Writing Workshop for fifth through eighth grade students is scheduled for two weeks in early August at Lord Fairfax Community College, according to Dr. Ronald Ludwick, Director of Continuing Education and Community Services. The Workshop will be held from IKK) to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning on August 6. Registration will be $60.00 per student.
Using writing as a means of developing the imagination and using creative writing as a means of fostering general writing skills will be the basis for the course. Classes will be divided into five units: introductory skills for creative writing, poetry, autobiography and fiction, script writing, and non-fiction.

RAAC9s Programming Meeting Set
On Sunday, August 12 at 7:30 there will be a public meeting concerning RAAC’s upcoming year of programming. Both RAAC members and the public is invited to give feedback to a list of possibilities that will be presented as well as share new ideas.
“If there are cultural events you’d like to see happen in Rappahannock, or if you have contacts with performers and artists, please come, said a RAAC spokesperson. Young people are welcome. The meeting will be held at Brambles in Washington.
Beahm Family Reunion
The families and descendants of the late George Washington and Nancy Bolen Beahm will have their annual reunion on Sunday, September 2 at the Rappahannock Park beginning at 8 a.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a beverage.
