staying guests than a traditional hotel, the emphasis of the interior design was to create a warm, residential atmosphere. However, the space for the combination lobby-lounge features a IT ceiling. It was a challenge, therefore, to fill up the space and maintain the warmth of atmosphere.
Ms. Waddell’s first selection for her design was a large painting by Paul Garland. Soon after making this choice she saw an exhibit of abstract color photographs by Tim Kilby “and fell in love with them.”
