On Monday, July 23, the new Brock Residence Inn at Tyson’s Corner, Va., celebrated its opening. It represents a new idea in hotels — a duster of buildings instead of a highrise. It houses apartments, gym, senne, swimming pool, bar, restaurant and more — and bean the mark of three Rappahannock artists.

Interior designer Linda Waddell was responsible for creating the project’s environment, including the residence’s main lobby. She selected four works by photographer Tim Kilby and commissioned a sculpture by Sam Clifton of Solar Design Systems.
