Rappahannock is one of several stops the Perez family will make before returning to Costa Rica in August. “I’m happy to be in Rappahannock again; it’s my third trip,” Mr. Perez said.
This is the first trip to the United States for Ronald and Diego, both on summer break from different universities in Costa Rica. Another brother, Felipe, 9, is home with his mother, Martiza.
“Everything we’ve seen has been wonderful,” Diego offered. “Our great friends, Howdy and Helen (Holschuh) are an important part.”
“If the whole world had people like them, we wouldn’t have any problems,” Mr. Perez smiled.
