Roland Etwood Atkina, 88, of Laray, died Sunday, July 16 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mr. Atkins was born January 6, 1921, in Rappahannock County and was a son of the late Georgs W. and Trevilla Seal Atkins. He was a retired farmer and a member of Fletchers Chapel Methodist Church. On September 6, 1942, he married the former Anna Kibler, who survives.
In addition to his wife other survivors include a son, Terry E. Atkins of Luray; one daughter, Shelhe A. Ramey of Luray; two brothers, George E. Atkins of Luray and James W. Atkins of Baltimore, Md. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. Fred Wiers and the Rev. James Cockram. Burial was in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery near Luray.
