Anti-Drunk Measures
WINCHESTER — Seventh District Democratic candidate for Congress Lewis M. Costello today expressed his strong support for the anti-drunk driving legislation signed by President Reagan on Tuesday.
"We cannot sit idle while our children are murdered on our highways,” said Costello, "we have to get the drunk driver off the road.”
Costello noted that the legislation, which withholds highway funds to states failing to raise their drinking age to 21, "is only a first step towards solving the problem of drunk driving.”
