Robert Graham Brents of Sperryville died Tuesday, April 15.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
Gene Whetzel
Gene Whetzel, 70, of Washington, died Tuesday, April 8, at his residence.
Mr. Whetzel was bom on January 27, 1916, in Pennsylvania, son of the late John and Anna Whetzel. He was retired from the federal government.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Vaden Whetzel of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lee Leigg of Clinton, Md., and Mrs. Phyllis Poore of Washington; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, April 12, at Ashtree Farm Cemetery, Washington, by the Rev. Steven Peltzer.

Mrs. Catherine Cooper Trescott, 88, of Sperryville, died Wednesday, April 9, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Surviving is one son, Harry A. Trescott of Sperryville.
Mrs. Trescott was bom November 11, 1897, in Rappahannock County, daughter of Richard and Neva Bruce Cooper. Her husband Harry Arthur Trescott predeceased her.
Graveside services were conducted Friday, April 11, at the Woodville Cemetery by Rev. Merlin Shorb.
