Members of the drama class at Wakefield School will stage their second production of the year on Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19, at 8 p.m. This year’s selection for the annual spring play is The Foreign Company, an adaptation of the current Broadway hit The Foreigner. The play was voted the Best New American Play for 1985 by the Outer Critics Circle.
The hilarious farce, set at an inn in Georgia, focuses on painfully shy Charlie, played by John Landis of Front Royal. Charlie, while feigning no knowledge of English, learns of all manner of sinister schemes afoot. With the aid of his sidekick Froggy, played by Allen Grimm, also of Front Royal, Charlie sets out to foil the “bad guys.”
