Like other candidates, Mrs. Thomasson opposes uncontrolled growth.
“I oppose any growth that would destroy the historic integrity and tranquility of the towm,” she said.
Instead of being intimidated by the prospect of growth, she believps that “the council should develop its uwm vision of how growth should be controlled and tapped as a source of badly-needed revenue."
“Perhaps the council should work with some of the businesses for ideas,” she suggested.
Mrs. Thomasson would like the council to have a reputation for fair treatment of all. “The council should be vigilant to insure equal enforcement of the town’s ordinances,” she said.
The town council veterans bidding for another term are Dorothy Clater, Brad Fisher, William Wickens, Evelyn Willis and Wallace Critzer.
