Hospital marks

National

volunteer week

Warren Memorial Hospital is observing National Volunteer Week April 20-26.

According to C. Douglas Rosen, administrator, the Auxiliary of the hospital plays a significant part in the delivery of health care at Warren Memorial.

During 1985 Auxilians logged 19,154 volunteer hours in the hospital. These hours represent manning the information desks, delivering mail, flowers, newspapers, etc. to the patients, escorting patients for tests and upon admission and discharge, keeping the gift shop open and taking the notions cart and library cart to patients’ rooms.

Auxilians also assist the Lynn Care Center residents in many ways by visiting, feeding, crafts, games, gardening, etc.

The Auxiliary donated more than $13,000 in revenue to the hospital during 1985.

The Auxiliary has a membership of approximately 170, of whom 65 are active, serving in the hospital at least once a week.
