As treasurer, Mr. Fisher is especially concerned about town revenue. “We just need to have some income,” he said. “And we don’t want to levy any personal or property taxes. There are other ways to r&ise money, and some are relatively painless.”
Mr. Fisher mentioned the water system as a town service that will need attention. “In fact,” he said, “I’d like to see the town have a fulltime employee for the water system.”
“I’d like to see the town grow, not explode,” he added. “And I’d like it to contribute as a working community, serving the county, and not turn into a museum.”
“I really like the way we do business here,” he said. ‘We can rely on gentlemen’s agreements, we’re open about how things are done, and we can disagree without everyone being divided.”
