Care Club ideas to care about include cleaning up, using bathrooms respectfully, picking up trash, helping someone and doing or saying something nice. To accomplish these ideas, activities such as making a happy card for someone, giving flowers, reading a story to a class, teaching a child, helping with the trash pick up, or cleaning up a classroom could be done.
Member Lorien Hargett told how she became a member. “I had to sign a sheet that said ‘Care and respect someone’ at the top. Then I gave it to Miss Wittl. Then I had to take the pledge. Miss Wittl shook my hand and I was a member.”
President Heather Legg added, “We had a vote and we put our heads down. I got eight points and that was the most so I won. After I got to be president we said the pledge and I thought it would be nice to put my hand over my heart when I said it. Because when you put your hand over your heart it means you’re promising what you say and because caring comes from the heart.”
Marsha Wigington wanted to become a member because she cares about things like cleaning up her room.
