U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary members from Colonial Beach’s Flotilla 14-05 supported the Coast Guard in a joint Coast Guard, Navy and Marine Corps exercise in the lower Potomac from April 5 through 8.

The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate the Coast Guard’s mobilization capabilities in wartime. This exercise was part of a larger fleet maneuver including forces throughout the Eastern U.S. The exercise was intended to provide the Coast Guard the opportunity to perfect performance of its wartime missions.
