The United Methodist Women met on Monday at the home of Mrs. Margaret Eastham. Among those present were Mabel Lillard, Alice Pullen, Mary Frances Bywaters, Evelyn Walker, Louise McCulloch, Flo Duvall, Linda Miller, Mary Curtis, Janet Eastham, Barbara Gentry, Russie Miller and Shelby Welch.

Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest, Mrs. Crystal Werner and Joshua motored to Colonial Beach on Sunday. En route home they had dinner at the Country Cookin Restaurant in Culpeper.

Shane Nicholson of Cedarville was an overnight guest Sunday at the home of his uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest.

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert 0. Ball in Hume Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Odie Herndon and boys from Manassas, Patsy Vest, Steve Lillard, Chris Lillard, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson, Mrs. Frances Hudson and Kathy Hudson enjoyed a picnic Sunday on the Skyline Drive.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Welch and children Ryan and Courtney of Mt. Airy, Md., were overnight guests Saturday of Mrs. Roland Welch at her home Mountain View. Joining them on Sunday were Mrs. Garland Sealock, Dale Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Welch and son Billy.

Mrs. Downing Wood of Washington, Mrs. Bruce Bowie of Culpeper and Mrs. Paul Miller visited their brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid in McLean on Saturday.

Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott and Sarah, who have been spending some time with Mrs. Scott’s parents Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gentry, have left for their home in Ames, Iowa. En route home the Scotts will visit points of interest.

Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Dodson of Staunton and Mrs. Barbara Gentry visited Wiley Allen Gentry Saturday in Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C., where he is a patient. They later had dinner with Gary Dodson in Arlington.

Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dennis of Jackson, S. C., arrived Monday to spend several days with Mrs. Dennis’ mother Mrs. Robert Nethers. Mrs. Nethers, who is recuperating after a recent hospitalization, spent Thursday to Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and daughter
