I have the perfect solution. Dr. Werner Krebser should donate the use of the Brambles Cafe to a “County Visitors Center” and at the same time provide a perfect location for the new paid Town of Washington secretary and a central location for county businesses to display brochures and other businesses information. (Shouldn’t we the people get a little advantage from a $40,000 hike in the budget?) The need for a paid position of this sort seems exaggerated for a town of a little over 200 people, that is until you have town business and can’t find anyone home.

Dr. Werner Krebser seems to feel he is the county Saviour; he obviously is the county capitalist and with his insider advantages with the Board of Supervisors, who else should be in the position of “giving something back” and if he’s smart a few vending machines would provide a fair income.

I’ve lived in the county 25 years - been in business almost 10 years and have observed a great deal and seen a lot of residents and businesses come and go. The outrageous phone bills and electric bills coupled with the need to travel vast distances to shop almost outweigh the beauty and tranquility of the area. However with careful planning and a little luck you can make it.

We certainly need people helping people rather than people against people. How about it, Town Council?
