lowing additional applications at last Thursday’s meeting:
• A16 by 20 foot addition to Claybert Smoot’s accessory building. The building, including the existing cinderblock, will be covered by German siding, painted white to match the house. The entire roof will be covered with an off-white asbestos shingle to replace the dark shingles now covering the roof.
• Three signs for Hook and Crook Associates, the building on Main Street owned in partnership by Frank Reynolds and Charles Tompkins. There will be a sign on the front of the building for Mr. Reynolds’ law office, a sign with directional arrow on the side of the building directing visitors fo Mr. Tompkins’ business entrance at the rear of the building, and a third will be a “No Parking, Thoroughfare” sign which will be hung on a bracket from the side of the building.
The lettering will be Baskerville Old-Face, white with a dark outline on a taupe background.
The application was approved, conditionally, upon the issuance of a special use permit by Town Council. “Usually, that should be done before the application comes to us,” Mrs. Miller observed.
“I have to admit, I forgot that I needed one,” Mr. Reynolds replied.
• An application from Peter Skowronski to reshingle the roof of his house on Blue Ridge Avenue. The color of the asbestos shingles is to be “Timberblend. ”
• Additions to the board-on-board fence being constructed by Dean and Linda Morehouse. The placement and construction of the fence will remain the same but a storage closet
