We appear to have lost our moral compass as a nation. We desperately need an infusion of idealism.
It is as though our nation has been cut adrift from its moral bearings. The obvious distinction between right and wrong no longer seems to apply. It seems our behavior as a nation, and as individuals, is no longer guided by plain words like integrity and truth.
This condition could well be our undoing. A democratic nation ulitmately rests on the character of its citizens.
