After serving 11 years as second in command, John Toth has moved up to take the helm at Rappahannock County High School.
Following a three and a half hour executive session at a special meeting Monday night to interview three candidates for the post of RCHS principal, the School Board voted unanimously to offer the job to the current assistant principal.
“It will be a hard act to follow,” said Mr. Toth in a telephone interview Tuesday. “Bob Chappell did an excellent job as principal,” he said of his predecessor who resigned to take the assistant superintendent’s post last month. “I hope to do a good job in my own way of running the school.”
