Colonial Court
Days reenacted
The downtown historic district of Leesburg will turn into a reproduction of Colonial days during its August Court Days celebration Saturday and Sunday, August 15 and 16. The annual fair recreates the opening of the judicial court during the mid-1700s, an event anxiously awaited by townsfolk and greeted with a street fair, food and music.
The admission charge is $4 per person, with children 12 and under free. Hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. More than 25,000 people attend the fair each year.
Celebrating its 11th year, August Court Days is sponsored by the Loudoun Restoration and Preservation Society, with proceeds benefitting the restoration of the Leesburg • United Methodist Church.
Entertaipfient runs continously from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
