Little truck
is big prize
The Child Care and Learning Center, with its spacious, sunny classrooms, is a long way from the little red schoolhouse of yesteryear, but in keeping with that old time tradition, CCLC is giving away a little red truck.
The prize in the fund raiser, which was initiated and organized by Dean Moorehouse, is a shiny, fireengine red Ford Ranger S truck from Rick Hunt Ford in Warrenton.
CCLC parents and board members have been driving the little red truck, festooned with posters announcing the giveaway, to fairs and festivals around the area in an effort to generate support for the fund raiser. Tickets are available from the truck drivers or at CCLC, Washington Cash Store, Baldwin’s Grocery, Boston Store, Country Manor, Old Hollow Grocery, the Sperryville Comer Store, Parkway Gifts, Burke’s Grocery and the Sperryville Emporium. The winner of the little red truck will be announced at CCLC’s annual auction, set this year for Saturday, September 26, and with a hunt country theme.
