He also leaves three brothers, John Alsberry, the Kev. Carter Alsberry and Edgar B. Alsberry, all of Strasburg, two sisters, Mary J. Jordon of Flint Hill and Catherine E. Kilby of Front Royal, 26 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted August 3 at the Flint Hill Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. James A. Price and the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Flint Hill.

Pallbearers were deacons of the Macedonia Baptist Church and the Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers were deaconesses of those churches.

Mary Lawson

Mary Helen Lawson, daughter of the late Lucy Lawson Childs, died July 27 in Hartford, Conn., where she resided for 32 years.

She was born in Woodville on January 6,1933.

Survivors include a brother James Lawson, three sisters, Bertha Nickins, Estelle Roy and Lucy Lawson, and a sister-in-law Minnie Lawson.

Funeral services were conducted August 2 at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville, by Rev. G. 0. Dean. Interment was at the family section of the church cemetery.

Dudley Pullen

Dudley Quaintance Pullen, 76, of Chester Gap, died August 2 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Pullen was born March 28, 1911, in Rappahannock County, the son of William I. and Maggie Woodward Pullen. He was married to Julia V. Dulin Pullen, who predeceased him.

Surviving are three sons, Frank Pullen of South Carolina, Charles B. Pullen and Billy Pullen, Chester Gap, eight daughters, Ruby Reid of Culpeper, Eleanor Ryan, Ann Williams, Ellsie Wines and Sue Taylor, all of Front Royal, Grade Hines, Barbara Morris and Sandra Pullen, all of Chester Gap, two brothers, Anderson L. Pullen of Front Royal and Ollie Pullen of Norfolk, 13 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted August 5 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home by Rev. WUliam AJford. Burial was inthe Williams family cemetery, Chester Gap. ' %

Pallbearers were Benny Atkins, Harold Tuel, Leo Williams, Haywood Williams, Charlie Frazier and Ermond Morris.

Honorary pallbearers were Sherman Williams, Joe Williams, Lawrence Williams and Aubrey North.
