ARB to meet
The Architectural Review Board will meet Thursday, August 20, at 8 p.m. in the courthouse. Interested persons are urged to attend.
Jenkins-Clatterbuck-Woodward reunion
The J enkins-Clatterbuck-Wood ward family reunion will be held on Sunday, August 16, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Rappahannock Recreational Center on Rt. 211 near Washington. “Friends, relatives and their families are invited to bring a covered dish and join us,” said a spokesperson.
Beahm-Bolen reunion planned
Descendants, friends and relatives are invited to the fourth annual George Washington and Nancy Bolen Beahm family reunion Sunday, September 6, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington.
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, beverage and table service. Coffee will be provided. For additional information call reunion organizers Mrs. Mary Ellen Burke at 676-3535 and Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Rector at 364-1754.
Introduction to papermaking
RAAC is presenting a seminar on papermaking, to be taught by Jeanne Drevas and Nina Moore, on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It will be be a hands-on workshop, covering papermaking from beginning to end. It will also include a history of the craft, how to color and provide special effects.

Settle reunion
The Settle family reunion will be held on Saturday, September 5 beginning at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are urged to attend and bring a covered dish and beverage.
Wharton family reunion
The annual family reunion of the late Henry Taylor Wharton and Lillie M. Cloude Wharton will be held August 29 at the Rappahannock Park, Washington. All family and friends are invited to come, bring a picnic basket and have lots of fun and eiyoy yourselves. “Come one, come all,” said a family spokesperson.
Classic films take vacation
The Classics Film Series, which has been presented each Thurs-'t day evening for the past several months, will be taking a summer vacation. The series’ sponsors announced that the series will return when the weather cools.
The sponsors added that classic film aficionados should “watch this space for further information and announcements of future presentations.”
Fair deadline, heart kitchen class
The deadline for entries for the Virginia State Fair is Saturday, August 15. Plans are being made to transport entries (other than animals) to Richmond and back.
The American Heart Culinary Heart Kitchen Course will begin Tuesday, September 15, at 7 p.m. The class will be held in the Home Economics classroom at RCHS. For information, about either event contact the Extension Office (675-3619).
