William Gorfein
William Gorfein, 81, died Auguat 2 in Culpeper. A native of New York City, he spent his retirement yean in Miami Beach, Fla., and moat recently in Washington, Va.
Funeral services were held in New York City.
Silas Jenkins
Silas Dolan Jenkins, 89, of Front Royal, died August 4 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jenkins was born April 26, 1898, in Sperryville, the son of Silas C. and Amanda Burke Jenkins. Ha was a member of Beech Spring Baptist Church in Sperryville.
His wife Jessie J. Jenkins predeceased him.
Surviving are two daughters, Catherine J. Atkins and Lois J. Dodson of Front Royal, 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eonducted August 6 at 11 a.m. at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Interment will be in Panorama Memorial Gardens, Front Royal.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Atkins Jr., George Dodson, Richard Jenkins, Jack Henry, Robert Rector and David Strickler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Jenkins, Jimmy Kenny,-Eddie Atkins, Jimmy Mahoney, Donnie Sloat, Jackie Henry and George Dodson Jr.
