Following the banquet, the EMS personnel heard a talk by Dr. Jimmy Chow, a reconstructive microsurgeon at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington,. D. C. Dr. Chow is a widely-respected expert on surgical replantation of svered limbs, and his talk included information geared to assist EMS personnel in preserving severed limbs for later replantation at a hospital.
Teamwork was also the key in- . gredient of the call which won Rappahannock County the award last year, and which also included the resources of the Pegasus med-evac helicopter.
