Old fashion hymn sing An old fashion hymn sing sponsored by the Wayland Blue Ridge Association Choir will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Culpeper High School. Prizes will be awarded. Canning jars and rings needed The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is seeking donations of quart canning jars and rings for their annual apple butter making. Horseshoe tournament The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a fall horseshoe tournament on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 12:30 p.m. next to Royal Video at the Royal Plaza Shopping Center in Front Royal. Dance at Amissville The band South Bound will play for a dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Proper dress is required and persons attending must be 21 years of age.
