The forestry tax workshops will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Charlottesville on Nov. 30, Dulles on Dec. 14, Richmond on Nov. 18 and Virginia Beach on Dec. 9.
Instructors for the conferences will come from Tech and the state and federal tax services. They will use problems and examples to explain tax laws.
Subjects at the conferences will include the Tax Reform Act of 1986, • material participation, capital gains and losses, tax consequences, recent rulings and cases, alternative minimum tax, IRA and Keogh plans, case illustrations and more.
The $114 registration fee at all locations covers educational material, lunch, breaks, and admission to farm and forestry workshops, It does not include lodging. Participation also carries 1,4 continuing education units from Virginia Tech.
