“I just got a price for doing the asphalt on the 20-foot section,” interjected Mr. Young, adding that he intended to pay for the work “just being neighborly.”
“But paving only makes them run faster,” countered Mr. Burke.
“And some of us are very happy with the road as it is,” said Mr. Arnold, maintaining that the lack of improvements deters sightseeing and “keeps it a private place.”
