was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired truck driver with Giant Food Inc.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Etta E. Jenkins; two sons, Guy Thomas Jenkins of Mechanicsville, Md. and Kenneth Earl Jenkins of Wills Point, Texas;

one half-brother, Ralph Dawson of San Francisco, Calif.; one stepbrother, Edward Franchi of Oxon Hill, Md., one step-sister, Jean Shuck of Chester Gap; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Bob Martin. Burial was at Mt, Pleasant Cemetery at Cumberland, Md.

Pallbearers were Merle Lockhart, Ray Smelser, Ricky Matthews, Page Munson, Tommy Kohn and Kenny Fox.

Honorary pallbearers were Allen Matthews, James Kohn, Jackson Lockhart and Jerry Johnson.
