The study showed that former 4-H members were more involved in community activities than former members of other youth groups. But the greatest lack of community involvement was with those who didn't participate in any. youth programs at all.
The study was conducted by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, in cooperation with the Department of Rural Sociology at Texas A St M University.
