Fifty-four works of art will be interpreted in floral arrangements in a two-day display at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27 and 28.
The exhibit is organized and sponsored by the 800-member Council of the Virginia Museum, a volunteer support group.
The floral arrangements will be designed by representatives of the Garden Club of Virginia and the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs. Among the more well-known works to be interpreted are Claude Monet’s “Irises by the Pond,” Edgar Degas’ “Little Dancer, Fourteen Years Old,” Julian Schnabel’s “Understanding Self-Hate” and the museum’s world-renowned Lillian Thomas Pratt Collection of Russian
