Greetings to all my friends in the 4-H family.
As honorary chairman of the National 4-H Council, I’d like to congratulate you for all you’re doing to better yourselves to secure the future of our beloved country. I can’t think of an experience more enriching for our young people than the 4-H program. 4-H offers a unique blend of American traditions - and it has its own special traditions of building responsible, capable citizens. 4-H is building our country from the individual on up.
The 4-H blend - a mixture of talents from every walk of life and combination of public and private resources - stands out among the rest.
Dedicated adults, working through 4-H, have created a dynamic pathway to learning, achievement and good citizenship for America’s young, 1 people. And 4-H is today on the threshold of its finest hour. Never has the need been greater for 4-H’s practical dimension to education. .
