A series of nine farm and small business income tax conferences will be held across the state in November and December to explain the current federal arid state tax laws.
The conferences are designed for persons who assist taxpayers in preparing and filing income tax returns. The series is being sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service in cooperation with Virginia Tech’s continuing eductation program and the department of agricultural economics, the Virginia Department of Taxation, the Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business Administration.
The conferences will be Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 16-17, at the Richmond West End Holiday Inn; Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 1819, at the Airport Sheraton in Richmond; Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, at the Fredericksburg Sheraton Inn; Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, at the Charlottesville Ramada Inn; and Thursday and Friday, Dec. 3-4, at the Sheraton Red Lion Inn in Blacksburg.
