Hostesses Helen Holschuh, Miriam Reeve and Jane Peterson welcomed Honey Lou Funkhauser, Shenandoah District President of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, to the October meeting of the Rappahannock County Garden Club.
Mrs. Funkhauser gave an informative talk on the organization of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. She also called attention to the 400-acre Conway-Robinson State Forest located on old Route 29-211, one mile northeast of Gainesville. Twenty-five acres of this forest was dedicated in 1939 to the founder : of the Virginia Federatipn of Garden .
