classes
A series of six classes for expectant parents will begin Nov. 2 and run through Dec. 7 at Culpeper Me-, morial Hospital. The Preparation fqi? Parenthood Course is offered oh Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. in the hospital boardroom.
Designed for expectant parents' who want to learn about the process of childbirth and related topics, the course costs $30. Ruth Partlow, LPN, will discuss prenatal care, La-, maze breathing techniques, medicgjtions and drugs, labor and delivery^ postpartum care, and newborn care. '■
Participants in the series will view a film on childbirth and take a tour of the obstetric unit at CMf£ including the birthing room and the' labor and delivery suite. '
A breastfeeding follow-up class" will also be offered Wednesday, Dec-1 14.
