The minimum order for most species is 50. Sawtooth oak, black walnut, and Chinese chestnut are sold in bundles of 25.
The Department of Forestry will be glad to examine and/or discuss any planting site you might have. We can offer suggestions on recommended species, seedling spacing, preparing the planting site, and the best planting method, the forester added.
Your planting site might also qualify for financial assistance through one or more of the state and federal cost-share programs. To determine if the planting site is eligible for cost-share assistance, we will be happy to make an examination of your property. This examination is done at no cost to the landowner, Mr. Kline noted.
