Business Council to meet

The Sperryville Business Council will meet on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville Antique Market. All members are urged to attend. Plans for the upcoming Blue Ridge Country Christmas will be discussed.

Dance at Amissville

The band Nightfall will play for a dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Proper dress is required and persons attending must be 21 years of age. For reservations or additional information call 9374357.

Classic chiller at Gay St.

The original movie version of Phantom of the Opera, starring Lon Chaney, will be shown at the Gay Street Theater Saturday and Sunday nights, Oct. 29 and 30, just in time for Halloween. As a special promotion, RAAC is selling tickets for this classic production for 99 cents, both nights.

Adventure Team will meet

The Rappahannock Adventure Team 4-H Club will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 3:30 p.m. at Trinity Church in Washington. Anyone interested in learning more about 4-H and/or joining the club is welcome. For more information contact the extension office (6753619).

Wreath workshop at Middle St.

A wild wreath grapevine workshop will be held at Middle Street Gallery Sunday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Learn to weave wild vine wreaths and decorate with dried flowers, herbs, greens, etc. Fee is $45 and includes all materials. Art class for young people

Laurie Marshall will offer a class in collage and drawing to elementary and high school students on Mondays in November at Middle Street Gallery from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. The class is based on the workshops she is currently doing around the state for the Virginia Museum. Students are asked to bring newpaper and magazine pictures which have a meaning to them, plus family and school photos that they like. The cost of the class is $25. Financial assistance is available.
