ANIMAL WARDEN

The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County is seeking qualified applicants to fill the permanent part-time position of Animal Warden. Applicants must be County residents, willing to work from their homes.

Responsible for enforcement of Title 29, Chapter 9.4, Code of Virginia. Comprehensive Animal Laws: duties to include responding to citizen complaints of stray dogs, collection and transport of same to County pound facility, and disposal of same by euthanasia, if necessary.

Successful applicant must have a valid driver's license and vehicle suitable for transport of animals and be willing to attend courses for animal wardens offered by the Commonwealth and/or Virginia Federation of Humane Societies.

Salary dependent on qualifications. E.O.E.
