Hallelujah night at Family Worship

A Hallelujah night will be held at Family Worship Center, Old School House on Rt. 626, Mt. Salem Avenue, Washington on Saturday, Oct. 29 beginning at 6:30 p.m. “Dress up as your favorite bible character or one of God’s creations and join us for an evening of fun, prizes, candy and video,” said an organizer. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Gallery opening Nov. 6

The public is invited to the opening of Middle Street Gallery’s “November Show”—a celebration of the Gallery’s seventh year, on Nov. 6 from 3-6 p.m. Member artists will be showing new work, including Drevas, Moore, Mahan, Marshall, Slack, McCue, Lewis, Kerig, Nicholas and Atherton. The show will run through the month of November. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. Currently on view through Nov. 7 is the one-person show of paintings and drawings by Eva Wine entitled “Tracks.”

Extension achievement night

The Virginia Extension Homemakers annual county-wide Achievement Night Program will be held at the Flint Hill Firehall on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. After the dinner and entertainment there will be a silent auction. Club members who would like to display sewing or craft articles they have made are encouraged to do so. For more information contact the county extension office (675-3619).

PTA will address abuse

Th& Rappahannock County-Elementary School PTA will present a program on “Protecting Your Child Against Abuse.” Sam Vala from Services for Abused Families in Culpeper will introduce the topic at the Nov. 1 meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the RCES library.

Ham and turkey dinner at Flint Hill

The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Department will have a ham and turkey-dinner with all the trimmings on Saturday, Nov. 5 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the fire hall.
