At their February meeting, Rappahannock’s School Board members got a taste of what to expect when next year’s budget is presented March 7.
Superintendent David Gangel expects to request an eight percent increase to the base teacher’s salary which is $17,667 this year and would rise to $19,080 next year. However, unlike previous years, this amount would not be the starting teacher’s pay.
